A two-week getaway in Orlando, Florida and a weekend break at a four-star hotel in London are amongst prizes up for grabs in Cash Converters stores across England, as part of a raffle to raise £20,000 for national children’s charity, Dreams Come True.
The charity raffle, which includes iPads and instant cash wins of up to £25, will be available to enter for £2 per scratch card, with the competition closing on 31 October, and star prizes drawn on 5 November 2019.
One lucky winner will claim a stay at Florida’s Regal Oaks Resort for up to six people in a luxury two-bedroom house, a short distance away from world-famous attractions including Disney World, Universal Studios and Legoland.
The London prize, for up to two people, includes two nights’ accommodation at the DoubleTree Hilton on the banks of the River Thames with a view of Canary Wharf, nearby Tower Bridge and the London Eye.
The raffle is the latest fundraising initiative from Cash Converters in aid of Dreams Come True, which provides dream holidays and equipment for young people living with serious and life-limiting conditions across the UK.
Carl Murray, managing director of Capital Cash, the largest franchise within Cash Converters, said: “We’re pleased to be continuing our support for Dreams Come True with a competition that will positively support children with life-limiting conditions, but also see our customers walk away with fantastic prizes.
“Raffle cards will be available to purchase at 42 Cash Converters’ stores throughout England and will help raise £20,000 for the charity. For a handful of customers, it could turn out to be the best £2 they’ve ever spent.
“This raffle follows our recent 510-mile cycle around Ireland in aid of Dreams Come True. As fundraisers and partners of Dreams Come True, it’s wonderful to see the money we raise, help towards the charity’s life-changing work.”
Since partnering with Dreams Come True eleven years ago, Cash Converters employees and stores nationwide have raised in excess of £365,000 and helped 168 children.
Martin Neal, Head of Fundraising at Dreams Come True, added: “This raffle is another example of Cash Converters going the extra mile to support our mission and make as many dreams as possible come true for children living with serious illnesses.
“The money raised will all go towards fulfilling young people’s dreams, which can range from trips away to purchasing equipment to enhance their everyday wellbeing.
“We would like to say a massive thank you to everyone at Cash Converters for their continued support for Dreams Come True and wish everyone entering the raffle the best of luck.”
